Each week in my online community we pick a theme. Anyone can contribute a suggestion, question or topic. By exploring the topic during our practice we have time to reflect and focus and deepen our understanding.
This week we were diving into the idea of trust.
What does it mean to trust? What is trust? Who do we trust?
Someone offered: “There are people who don’t trust anyone anymore.”
Who can we turn to? Where do we go when we need answers?
We are each experiencing reality through our own individual personality. And if we can see that, there is this question: what is true? Based on who's reality? We begin to see truth is relative.
The mind can create arguments on either side of any debate.
So who can we trust? Go into the question for yourself.
Who can we trust?
Ourselves? Our own minds?
Yoga gives us a chance to watch our minds and connect to our body.
This ability to observe oneself, by being with the breath, we bring ourselves to the present moment. We have a chance to listen quietly. There is nothing to do or say. In these moments we can be with what is. In these moments we can experience trust; we get a chance to be with what is.
These moment are fleeting.
When I feel my body, it is here and now.
This connection to the body is so crucial. It gives us access to Source energy.
Source just is. Source is an experience of being.
We are all living out our destiny; our dharma.
All we can do is from moment to moment listen and let life arise and then let go; exhale.
If I can put trust in anything it is impermanence. Everything is always changing. Life is flowing through me and I allow for that. To me that is what trust is.
Less effort. Less gripping.
It has a quality of letting go. Allowing.
Feeling safe.
It is a big one.
I trust myself. I trust my body. I trust breath.
I trust source Energy. Earth Mother. Life.
What does it feel like to have trust? How does that feel in the body?
At ease. Relaxed.
It is true so many of us have lost trust. We have lost connection with ourselves. We have forgotten connection to Source.
I believe re-discovering this connection is a process of re-connecting with ourselves. Establishing an ability to listen to that inner voice.
This week we discussed how common it is to feel disconnected from the body. That disconnection inhibits our ability to access our own intuition; our own feeling sense.
If you know you have the answers inside and want to take the journey back to Self you can return to the Source anytime.
I believe truth is within us. When we feel it we know it and we can trust that.
